How It Removes Pigmentation: Gen Technique By Using Quasi-Long Pulse
Gen Technique for photo-rejuvenation leverages on advanced laser technology to destroy deep pigmentation safely without side effects.
The Quasi-Long Pulse 1,065nm Gen Technique is a combination of thermal lifting and toning by using selective photothermolysis. It is not only effective in treating pigmentation lesions, but also reduces appearance of pores and achieves skin lifting.
During treatment, the Tri-Beam laser safely targets the individual spots, gently breaking the pigment into tiny particles. The spot will turn gray or white for a few minutes, which is a natural response of the skin as it absorbs the energy.
The spot will then turn darker and is eventually removed completely within 1 to 2 weeks. At this point, lighter skin starts to blend in as it heals, making your skin uniformly toned.

Anyone who wants to remove of pigmentation, no matter the type or severity. Treatment works for all skin types.
Patients may feel a light sensation on the skin, like the snap of a thin rubber band. It is not painful and easily tolerable.
A mild to moderate redness may develop, which usually fades within an hour. There is no downtime and normal activities can be resumed immediately. However, it is most important to avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2-3 weeks before resuming normal outdoor activities. Be sure to protect your skin with sunblock.
Treatment time varies for each patient, but most treatments take around 15 minutes.
A minimum of 3 treatments over 3 months period will start to produce significants results especially if combined with fillers.
As pigments cannot be completely removed within one session, residual pigments would feed on the surrounding blood vessels to grow again. Hence it is important to complement Q Switch laser with a vascular laser to clot the surrounding blood vessels thus limiting pigment growth. Daily application of Cysteamine cream and Sunblock is mandatory for long term maintenance.
