Introducing CuRAS Q-Switched Laser

CuRAS Q Switch Laser is the Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser that removes tattoos, melasma, carbon peeling, pigmented lesions and non-ablative resurfacing. The key benefit of CuRAS Q Switch Laser comes in the form of dual wavelengths 1064 and 532 nm with 3 different handpieces. This allows doctors to customize a targeted pigmentation treatment plan for each patient according to their individual needs.

The CuRAS Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser device delivers high peak energy into dual wavelengths with short intervals for faster and more effective treatment. By doing this, skin thermal damage is minimized, hence patients feel little side effects or pain during treatment.

On average each session lasts about 15 to 20 minutes. The zoom handpiece also comes with adjustable spot sizes from 2 mm to 10 mm that allows doctors to select the appropriate size for the best result. CuRAS also uses laser technology that produces specific, stable energy with a uniform beam profile to the targeted area that reduces damage to surrounding tissues.

What does CuRAS Q Switch Laser target?

Treat Pigmented Lesions

Treat Pigmented Lesions

CuRAS laser treats both superficial and deep stubborn pigmentation such as melasma, lentigo and Seborrhoeic Keratoses. The specific and stable laser beam energy is emitted into the targeted areas and absorbed by the pigments. These pigments will then break down and get discharged by the body.

Tattoo Removal

Tattoo Removal

1064 wavelengths remove black and blue tattoo ink while 532 wavelengths remove red tattoo ink with minimal skin damage. CuRAS laser is preferable as it has a higher tattoo ink removal rate with fewer sessions as compared to other laser treatments.

Reduce Pore Size

CuRAS laser reduces oil secretion by shrinking pore glands, thus helping with the sebum production and reducing the appearance of enlarged pores.

Skin Rejuvenation

Skin Rejuvenation

CuRAS laser can also be used in non-invasive laser treatment to boost collagen remodelling for healthier, younger-looking skin. Skin whitening can also be done by adjusting the laser setting. In addition, the laser can remove dead skin cells, dirt, sebum and facial hair.

Treat Acne

Laser energy kills the bacteria that causes acne, and this prevents new pimples or acne from forming. Existing acne will also appear less inflamed and heal faster, thus reducing the risk of acne scars.

FAQ

People who have skin diseases and serious medical conditions such as diabetes should not undergo CuRAS laser treatment.

You should avoid cleansing the treatment area for 24 hours after treatment. You may notice scabs forming over the treatment area as the skin heals. Avoid picking at the scabs until it falls off by themselves. You should also apply sunscreen regularly to prevent Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) from occurring.

CuRAS Q Switch Laser can show immediate results for superficial pigmentation as soon after the first session. For other skin pigmentations, especially pigmentation on the dermis layer, a repeat CuRAS Laser is required to see long term improvement.

You should abstain from smoking, vitamin E, aspirin, glycolic acid, retinoids and other medications or supplements that can affect skin healing. You should also avoid sun tanning as tanned or sunburnt skin is not suitable for CuRAS laser treatment.

CuRAS Q Switch Laser has minimal side effects as the 1,064 nm and 532 nm wavelength is able to correct superficial and dermal skin conditions and stimulate collagen production quickly. If the treatment is conducted by a licensed doctor, there should be little to no side effects.
